Answer infrastructure, not another dashboard
AnswerLine is a small, independent API company. We run the collection and parsing layer that turns AI assistants and search engines into structured data, so the teams building on top of it don't have to.
What we do
Products that measure AI visibility, track search results or monitor brands all need the same unglamorous thing: a reliable way to ask an engine a question and get clean, structured data back. We sell that as one API — real answers with sources and citations, per-call pricing, sync or async.
How we work
API-first: everything the product does is a documented endpoint, and the dashboard is a thin layer on top of it. We keep the system small and the pricing published, and we write about what our own data shows.
What we hold to
The answer is the product
A rank is a position; an answer is prose that names, cites or ignores a brand. We return the whole thing — text, sources, queries, cards — because the evidence is the point.
Real surfaces, honest labels
We collect what users actually see, not a provider's completion API. Engines that aren't live yet are marked coming soon; we'd rather lose a signup than ship a number we can't stand behind.
Charge for results
Failed requests cost nothing. Credits are priced per engine and published — the whole contract is in the OpenAPI document, not a sales call.
Small and boring on purpose
Fewer moving parts, explicit failure modes, durable queues. Infrastructure should be the least interesting thing about your week.
